 09 February 2024

Who does not like music while driving towards their destination? Exactly, everybody does and Spotify has come up with the top songs of 2023 which are played in car-streaming.

There is something about the roads and music that offers a blissful essence of a never-ending journey. Christmas has perhaps passed, but still, there are exciting music charts and lists that can captivate users on Spotify. Its end-of-the-year Wrapped collection has focused on various avenues with a special holiday twinkle to it. The annual summary is an accumulation of everything that you listened to in the past year. It shows some interesting facts such as which is the most listened-to track, how many total minutes they listened to music along with other listening trends and behaviors.

In this year’s wrapped collection, the platform has categorized users' streaming habits into 12 possible characters. Such as, if a user becomes a vampire, then the playlist shows bias over "emotional and atmospheric music." similarly, there is Cyclops, the users who have mainly devoted their listening time to a single genre. It shows that fans have listened to their favorite artists more than a third of their total listening time on the platform. Utilizing the app’s in-car streaming mode, it was possible to make a list of the most-listened tracks this year while driving and during road trips. According to the platform, the popularity of podcasts has increased significantly in the past three years and the growth is over 40% every year, which is promoting the platform’s popularity even further.

The platform's library has more than 100 million songs, 5 million podcasts, and more than 200,000 audiobooks. Spotify has now become a native media app inside the car models of companies like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Buick, Cadillac, Tesla, Volkswagen, Chevrolet, GMC, Mini, Polestar, Volvo, and many others.
