Latin music artist Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, professionally known as Bad Bunny has broken the record for the most streamed Spotify album in a single day.

Benito is back and with his latest album ‘Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana’ he has continued to break records left and right. This time he has broken Spotify’s record of the most-streamed album in a single day in 2023, so far. This achievement was announced by Spotify’s official handle on October 13th via social media channels.

Bad Bunny and his record-breaking 'Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana'

Bad Bunny released his most anticipated album of this year on Friday the 13th. He released his 22-track L.P. named 'Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana' which translates to 'Nobody Knows What Is Going to Happen Tomorrow'. This is his fifth solo studio album which is followed by his last year's super hit blockbuster album 'Un Verano Sin Ti'. With this album the artist generated more than 18.5 billion streams on Spotify alone, cementing his position as the most-streamed artist on the platform for three years in a row.

Looks like this time the artist has come again to claim his success as his latest release ‘Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana’ has already broken the record of Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2023. This new L.P. was led by two brand new singles, the Jersey club song ‘Where She Goes’ which he gave the world back in May. Along with this single, Benito also released another track ‘Un Preview’ on September 26th, making the stage ready for his another blockbuster album release.

Ahead of the album release Bad Bunny was seen performing live on the stage of the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards on October 5th where he performed the two newly released singles along with his previous hot releases, 'Moscow Mule,' 'Tití Me Preguntó,' 'Neverita' and 'Me Porto Bonito' in a much cheered upon medley. That night Benito took home a total of seven awards which included heavyweight wins like Artist of the Year, tour of the Year, and Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year.

Released just a few days ago, the album ‘Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana’ by Bad Bunny features collaborations with artists like Mora, Luar La L, YOVNGCHIMI, Young Miko, as well as Feid, Eladio Carrión, Arcángel, Ñengo Flow and De La Ghetto. So far, the listeners are really liking and listening to songs like ‘MONACO’, ‘UN PREVIEW’, ‘PERRO NEGRO’, and ‘WHERE SHE GOES’ on repeat.

Revealing that Benito has once again broken another record on the Platform, Spotify congratulated the Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and songwriter on its social media channels. The audio streaming platform announced, "We all knew Bad Bunny would break records with this new album  Congrats Benito " with a picture of the musician that states, "On October 13th, Bad Bunny's "Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana" became Spotify's most-streamed album in a single day in 2023 so far."

Bad Bunny and his habit of breaking Spotify records:

The Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and songwriter is not a new face in this record-breaking journey on Spotify. According to the platform, the artist has 12 songs with over 1 billion streams on each track on Spotify. With 12 tracks, the artist is just behind Justin Bieber who has 13 songs with 1 billion streams on the platform. The largest audio streaming platform on the internet has also announced that the Latin superstar has accumulated more than 58 billion streams on the service. Celebrating this success, the rapper was seen enjoying "Billions Brunch" with some of his closest friends and collaborators.

About this success, the artist said, "The feeling of having 1 billion streams for this song right now is the same emotion I felt when I got 5,000 plays for the first time". "For me, it's just as big knowing that there are people who want to listen and want to enjoy what you make," he continued. This was in a brand new episode of Spotify's newly launched 'Billions Club' series, shot and produced by OBB Pictures.

The rise of Latin music in the recent times:

Not just Bad Bunny, but a lot of Latin artists like Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Anuel AA, Romeo Santos, etc. are rising to fame in the international music industry. According to the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) Mid-Year 2023 Latin Music Report in just the first half of the year 2023, the entire Latin music industry has generated a total of $627 million in gross revenues in the US. The report is based on a retail basis which means the amount of money spent on physical and digital music along with paid subscriptions. This report also shows the revenue of Latin music grew 14.8% YoY in the US in H1. At the same time, the overall US recorded music revenues' share of Latin music grew from 7.1% of last year to 7.5% in the first half of this year. And from what it seems by the broken records left and right, Benito is responsible for a lot of this growth.
